Goregasm and welcome, dear friend! Much of this blog is related to horror in all forms such as movies, pictures, books, my own amateurish paintings/drawings/photographs etc. My life, basically. I also have a huge interest in make up and nails so posts about that will appear too, mixed with everyday life. Enjoy!

Do you test on animals?
I asked IsaDora and Nivea (Beiersdorf) about their testing-methods and here are the answers I got:
Nivea
Me:
"Hello!
I wonder how Beiersdorf perform tests on the products and the ingredients you do makeup / skincare in? The reason I ask is that I only want to use products that are non-animal tested.
Grateful for answers!
Best Regards Veronica"
Answer:
"Hello Veronica,
Testing of finished products on animals is banned since 2004 and in Beiersdorf's house has no products of animals tested since the 1970s. New materials may have been tested on animals by suppliers of raw materials, but are banned since 2009, with a few exceptions where you could not validate alternative testing methods. Beiersdorf has this contributed actively to the development of alternative testing in vitro, ie in vitro.
To ensure that our products are safe for our consumers, we test our products are dermatologically on a human test panel at the independent test institutes.
As regards the ingredients, they are not tested in the same manner. There they have available results of previous tests, and test results / information provided by the supplier of the raw materials. Irritation test is done for example by means of red blood cells (erythrocytes).
Based on all this data to make a safety assessment before determining which substances and which formula to choose.
We meet the obvious current legislation on animal testing and writes not of our products that are not tested on animals.

IsaDora
"Hello!
I know you do not test your makeup on animals. Is also the ingredients you manufacture makeup of non-animal tested?
Grateful for answers!
Best Regards Veronica"
Answer:
"Hello Erdena
IsaDora lets not test finished products or ingredients on animals, and never did.
There's also a reason that we are not on Animal Forensic website is that they want to ensure that the ingredients found in our products have never been tested on animals by anyone. This we can not vouch for because we do not know what other companies have done with these ingredients."
I'm pleased with the answer and from now on I am going to skip Nivea but still buy from IsaDora.
I also made a search in Lumene's website and found info that made me happy:
Nivea

"We research promising new raw materials and technologies in the field in close co-operation with universities and researchers throughout the world. While testing products and raw materials, we do not carry out animal testing nor order it through subcontracting."
I have always bought from Nivea, IsaDora and Lumene because I trusted them but I always want to check things out once in a while and I am released I found and got the info I was looking for.

Use only CRUELTY-FREE products!!!
Lip stain and nail polish from elf
Sometimes I need to update myself when it comes to makeup and procucts so I really can tell that I don't use any products tested on animals. It is really hard when people write and say different about how procucts are tested. One day you can be absolutely sure about a company that says they don't do any harm against animals and the next day you hear/read something different from somewhere else.
When you get confused you can always read the truth right here at PETA'S website where they have their famous list about companies and how they are testing makeup and products, and they have really hard rules and conditions. If any company doesn't follow the conditions they become "kicked out" from the list. So you can really trust PETA!
I, for example, get a bigger and bigger collection of elf's cheap and wonderful makeup-products. And when it comes to skin care you can for example buy very good, fair stuff from the Bodyshop and LUSH. :)

The Cabin in the Woods
One of our friends Ninni recommended this film for us. We had been longing for it for a while now and finally we watched it last weekend. The film was quite interesting. Not the best one you have ever seen but a bit different from other "similar" films these days and absolutely worth seeing.
It came out a long time ago now... So many of you have of course already seen it for like 100 years ago.
I'm not going to tell you the whole story, but you can't tell much about the film without reveal everything. But one thing I can tell you is that it has some unexpected turns in it. And that is always fun.

Coraline
We saw this movie at the cinema, 2009. I really love it. We haven't seen it since then but we have had it on Blu-ray for a while and watched it last weekend. I love the story, the characters, the great animations, the dolls and backgrounds so many people were working so hard with. Thumbs up for them!
I'm really looking forward to see their new movie called "ParaNorman". Picture below.
